Biography
Peter Larkin was born in Boston and received his early education at Deerfield Academy. His first studies in scene design were with his father, historian Oliver Larkin, and later he attended the Yale School of Drama (1946-48). His work is characterized by a facility with brush and pencil, and his clean, workman-like use of architectural detail.
