Further information
In the 1960s, Blanche and John Palmer Leeper sold from their personal collection a rare Chinese porcelain bowl from the Xuande period (1426-1425). The Leepers commissioned Bill Reily to paint the bowl's "portrait" for them to keep as a souvenir. Then, for decades, the painting hung above the mantel in the Leepers' home, before their daughter, Maryanne, gave it to the McNay.
