Texas-born Charles Williams was trained as a civil engineer and discovered his passion for art after serving as a draftsman for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Williams continued his education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture. The artist worked primarily in bronze, copper, stone, and wood, frequently incorporating found objects.
