Further information
"I am laughing out loud like a maniac sometimes when I am making them," says Gary Sweeney of his text-laden and often humorous works. At first glance, Post Card appears to be a monumental reproduction of a friendly correspondence; however, when the neon words are read separately from the rest of the text, the message is malicious. The intended recipient of this note is Sweeney's friend and fellow artist, Ken Little, whose work is represented in the McNay collection.
