Further information
This untitled work by artist David Klamen meticulously reproduces a famous painting and plays with the viewer's perception. Klamen dramatically alters the original work's perspective by tilting it at an oblique angle within his own composition, causing a "spatiotemporally disorienting" effect. The work is a copy of Diego Velázquez's Felipe IV, one of the Spanish artist's first court portraits of Philip IV (1605-65), king of Spain and patron of the arts.
