Further information
P.O.P. Poet of Paper (For Joe) was made to commemorate the master printer Joe Wilfer, who died in 1995 and was James Pernotto's mentor. Pernotto created the collage-like image by weaving two pages from the book Popeye in Ghost Ship to Treasure Island together. Pernotto acquired the book in 1974 when he was apprenticed to Joe Wilfer at the Paper Factory in Wisconsin.
