Further information
Eastman's drawing of Main Plaza gives more context for the church and plaza that were the hub of daily activity in San Antonio. Though Eastman does not often show people, in this drawing a mother and child pause by the church gate, another group meets at the entrance to the church, a man sits to rest on the street corner, and two figures converse by the barrels of an adjacent store on the far right.
