Further information
Wooden trusses created a loft for the orchestra and provided a fly space for propls. Everything the hero Macheath needed for his sham wedding to Polly was suspended above the stage. a gown and wig, oriental carpet, silver candleabra -- all were lowered as easily as they had been "lifted" from the rich by Macheath's gang.
