Further information
Costumes provoked some of the biggest laughs in this visually witty production. While posing for George, sweat running down her neck and corset stays poking at her sides, Dot's dress opened, and she escaped into a fantasy, expressing her feelings for the artist. Later, Dot turns her skirt around, the bustle becoming a pregnant belly, explaining why she is leaving George to marry the more reliable banker, Louis.
